The newest brand operating in Assam is the Rhino buses. Assam state transport corporation (ASTC) gives lot incentives in the form of discounts and gifts to the passengers. The ASTC provides facilities like waiting rooms in all cities and towns in Assam, computerized ticketing, cargo and courier services. Many private operators also operate bus services in and around Assam. The bus services operated by the ASTC and the private individuals also ply in the neighboring states.
