Another very important festival in the state of Haryana is the Suraj Kund Crafts Mela which is an attempt to organize various cultural events by the tourism of Haryana on a national level and this festival began in the year 1981. In this Crafts Mela the artisans and the state government tends to celebrate the best of the handloom accessories and handicrafts items in Haryana. This crafts mela exhibits the craft works and handloom items from all over the country and thus is a major crowd attractor in Haryana.
The other prominent festivals celebrated in Haryana throughout the year are Diwali, Dussera, Holi, Gugga Naumi, Ram Naumi, Solono or Rakhsha Bandhan and Bhai Duj and few of the other prominent fests in Haryana are Mango Mela, Kurukshetra in Haryana both of which are celebrated in the months of May and June.
